FISHING AND BOATING

From early Spring until late Fall…the area is threaded with numerous streams well-stocked with Rainbow, Brown, and Brook trout. Pike, walleye, and bass abound in surrounding inland lakes. Lake Superior charter boat service is available for Coho salmon and lake trout trolling.

THE PRIVATE BEACH

A broad sand beach, ideal even for children, slips far out into Lake Superior’s crisp waters, and offers hours of enjoyment to the sun-worshipper and the energetic swimmer alike.

HIKING AND SIGHTSEEING

The nearby Porcupine Mountains are a hiker’s dream. Trails are laid out to take anywhere from several hours to several days. Centrally located for day trips in the Copper Country and many mountain and waterfall scenic areas with unmatched beauty. ATV Riding

The Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan has always been known as a premier destination for snowmobiling. Now this area is quickly becoming the place to ride your ORV. HUNTING

For the hunters, there are thousands of acres of public land teeming with whitetail deer, bear, and birds. The opening of deer hunting season is Michigan’s greatest single outdoor holiday. Come to Ontonagon Country for trophy hunts.
